A graduate of Sydney University, Bob Warren was selected and trained by one of Australia’s most prestigious firms, Allen Allen and Hemsley before commencing his long and successful career as the founder, senior partner and senior director for 40 years of a large law firm. Bob then practised for a time as a senior consultant specialising in estate law, estate litigation and administration of estates. In 2016, he commenced practice as the principal of the long established and highly respected law firm of O’Brien Connors & Kennett, bringing with him extensive experience in commercial litigation, estate law and litigation and a highly experienced negotiator in dispute resolution.

Bob has been a leading solicitor in prosecuting and defending numerous cases and claims including those in estate litigation, commercial litigation and the ground-breaking and successful case of Whitaker v Federal Commissioner of Taxation 98 ATC 4285.

Bob heads a team of talented and dedicated lawyers who specialise in various areas, including Estate Law and Litigation, Property Law, Commercial Litigation, Family Law, Wills and Estate Planning.

A keen boatie, bush walker and devotee of classical music and physics. Bob can be found on many weekends on his boat with wife Anne and faithful companion and sometimes seasick Pebbles.

Nicole Davis

Nicole gained her qualifications in New Zealand before moving across the ditch to sunny Australia in 2004. Her passion for people and property has led down a unique career path and she has worked in both legal and real estate industries in Queensland and New South Wales along with practising as an independent licensed conveyancer in Byron Bay before relocating to the beautiful Northern Beaches to join the team at O’Brien Connors and Kennett Lawyers.

Nicole embraces all property related matters and her breadth of experience in real estate and conveyancing matters is coupled with her dedication to ensure her clients are fully informed and confident through every step of the purchase or sale process.

Nicole enjoys exploring the many beaches and nature reserves that the Northern Beaches have to offer in between perusing the real estate sections of the local papers.

Jana Whitby

Andrew Dong is a recently admitted solicitor known for his approachable manner and clear, practical legal advice. He is interested in working across wills and estate planning, family law, and general practice, helping clients navigate complex legal matters with empathy and professionalism. He brings a calm, focused presence to his work and is deeply committed to delivering high-quality, timely outcomes.

Before entering the legal profession, Andrew managed a family business, where he developed strong interpersonal skills, a solid work ethic, and a deep appreciation for community-focused service.

Outside the office, Andrew trains and competes in Muay Thai, a discipline that sharpens his mental focus and resilience. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and finds balance through hiking and exploring nature.

Director

Anne has specialised in probate and estate matters working as Bob’s assistant for over 25 years. Anne is simply the most organised and efficient legal support expert you could hope to find. Anne just loves the magnificent waterways and can also be found out on the boat each weekend.

Michael Chong

Senior Paralegal

Michael began his legal career in the early 2000s and has since accumulated extensive knowledge and experience across numerous areas of law. He has developed particular expertise in litigation, with a strong focus on wills and estates, family law, and commercial disputes. Over the years, Michael has handled a wide range of complex matters, from international estate disputes to cases involving children with disabilities.

Michael thrives on the challenges of difficult work and is highly skilled in managing matters smoothly and efficiently. He values clear and precise communication, guiding his clients through complex legal issues with confidence and trust.

In addition to litigation, Michael is experienced in general legal matters, including estate planning, spousal agreements, and property transactions.

Before pursuing a career in law, Michael studied science and engineering, and he maintains a keen interest in these fields—particularly in advanced digital technologies.

Michael is an avid reader and a fluent Korean speaker.

Lachlan

Law Clerk

Lachie is the new law clerk at OCK, and he’s currently in his final year of law studies. Though this is his first law job, he’s already got his hands full helping Bob (the boss), Anne (Bob’s right hand) and Nicole (the legal squad) with all sorts of admin tasks. This includes client calls, uploading data, retrieving documents, printing, scanning, and basically doing anything that involves paperwork. If it needs to be done, Lachie’s on it—sometimes even before you ask.

Pebbles

O’Brien Connors & Kennett has its very own mascot, Pebbles. Pebbles specialises in meeting and greeting and absolutely loves the office. She gets paid in treats and pats. Be sure to say hello if you’re lucky enough to catch her before or after a grooming session.
